Here at FBG headquarters, we’re split evenly on the use of heart-rate monitors. While Jenn is diggin’ on hers, I’ve never actually used one that wasn’t attached to a cardio machine at the gym. Don’t get me wrong: I would totally feel like a bad-ass with one, but it’s just not high on my list of priorities. I try to gauge my workouts according to my rate of perceived exertion, always stopping before I hit vomitus maximus on the scale.How about you? —Erin
