Mission: Beautiful
November 18, 2009 by Erin
We’ve all had days when we get down on ourselves. Fat days, yucky days, ugly days. That’s why I’m more than a little tickled to hear about Operation Beautiful. The mission of Operation Beautiful is to post uplifting, anonymous notes for other women to find. The mission’s founder wants to end “fat talk” and to spread positivity by leaving notes such as “You are beautiful just the way you are!” in public places. Just think of the smiles and bumps in self-esteem this mission spreads. Anyone can participate in Operation Beautiful, of course. Send pictures of notes you post to the website for inclusion. —Erin

I love this idea! Women today are exceedingly self-conscious, and uplifters and reminders like these are perfect for boosting the way women think about themselves. Love the site!
Hey Beautiful, yeah you reading this comment, share your smile with 3 people today. Pay it forward……
Reminds me of Random Acts of Kindness that many of us did way before it became the thing to do… As my mama taught me, say and do things for others that you would want them to do or say to you………
I love this idea too…Did you ever see the Free Hug campaign that a guy did. It’s on YouTube and here is the official website. http://www.freehugscampaign.org/ The video itself is really to me a breath of fresh air in all the doom and gloom we are subjected too on a regular basis. I love the idea of Mission Beautiful…inspires me.
Great idea! Hope it reaches my city.
