With so many images of what’s desirable and attractive flying at us on TV, in magazines and online, sometimes it’s hard to step back and feel good about your imperfect, real self. But, if you’ve been a reader of FBG for any time at all, you know that we’re fightin’ that stereotype with a vengeance stronger than Vanilla Ice’s. We believe that Fit Bottomed Girls come in all shapes and sizes and should be celebrated for being healthy, not a certain pant size. And that’s why when we stumbled across the website My Body Gallery, we were thrilled.
The site features photos of real women with their height, weight, body shape and clothes size so that women can see what real women—not models— look like. Many of us have spent so many years looking at ourselves in mirrors that we can no longer see what’s really there. The My Body Gallery project’s goal is to help women objectively see what we look like and see that we are all beautiful.
