A Smoothie That Tastes Like a Snickers? Oh Yeah…

Credit: @joefoodie

Our new nutritionist recently hipped me to a new brand of protein powder (which I love!)—and a recipe for a smoothie that is to die for. Seriously, it tastes like a Snickers bar. A Snickers! And it has about 200 calories and 15+ grams of protein, depending on the protein powder you use. It’s H-E-A-V-E-N.

Snickers Smoothie

(1 serving)

8 oz. water
8 oz. ice
1 serving (two scoops) of vanilla Formula 1 Instant Nutritional Shake Mix
1 scoop of vanilla Protein Drink Mix (or other vanilla protein powder)
1 tbsp sugar-free caramel syrup
1 tbsp sugar-free chocolate pudding
1 tbsp natural crunchy peanut butter

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender that crushes ice well. Mix to your desired consistency, adding more ice and water as needed.

2. Drink up the deliciousness!

Enjoy! And tell us what’s your favorite smoothie? What’s in it? —Jenn

WHAT? A smoothie that tastes like a Snickers bar?!?! I cannot wait to make this!

Thanks for posting! I have been looking for new smoothie recipes. Lately my favorite is 8 oz of almond milk, a scoop of Chocolate flavored Amazing Grass, whey protein powder and heaps of ice. It’s SUPER yummy. (But probably not as yummy as this one!)

I can’t seem to access the ingredients lists for either of these, but whenever using something highly processed like a protein powder, my first question is what’s in them? I’m a bit leery of chemicals given these particular brands.

How can this only have 200 calories when two scoops of PDM (protein) is 220 calories, one scoop of Formula one has 80 & the crunchy peanut butter has proabaly 80???

Are you using a different size scoop for the PDM than what is in the formula one mix???

  5. Ooh, smoothies! My favorite! Very healthy and yummy of course. I hope such drinks are available in vending machines so that people on the go like me who do not have time to do this at home would be able to consume this 🙂

Okay I made that smoothie but instead of p-nut butter I used PB2 the powdered peanut butter. 45 calories for 2 tablespoons. Taste just like PB in a smoothie. IT was AWESOME AND 300 calories lighter. LOVED IT
