How Do You Feel About Getting Older?

So, it’s official. I’m 30! And, really, despite a few moments of sadness that my crazy 20s are over, I’m happy to be in a decade that I hear only makes you more confident in your own skin. I’m all for that! With all the sage advice I’ve received over the past week about entering this new decade, I wondered what your thoughts are on aging, not matter how many years of “experience” you have!

I’m definitely MUCH happier now at 41 than I was in my 20′s and even in my 30′s. And while there are days I miss certain things about being in my 20′s (hello, faster metabolism!), I wouldn’t go back for anything.
I just turned 30 on the 16th, at first i was scared however I am okay with it, it actually feels great being 30, so far this year has been awesome.

I’m 26 but have no qualms about turning 30, 40, 50 or even 60
Why ?
Because my Granny and Aunt look fabulous for 5 and 60

My Granny is 85 and my Aunt is 60
“hear, hear!” for happiness at 41! there have definitely been some trying times in recent years, but being “older” has definitely given me the tools i’ve needed to deal with them, and i find i’m just generally more appreciative of things and have a far lesser tendency to let things bother me.
Ah what perfect timing for this post! My 30th is on Tuesday and I have been DREADING it. Milestone birthday always make me stop and take stock of where I am, and I have been feeling like I haven’t done enough. I am trying to shift my thoughts though and focus on all I have accomplished and set new goals. Happy Birthday!
