1½ tsp of salt
1 tbsp of grated orange peel
1/2 c plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
1 c whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp each of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

3. Line the bottom of an 8-inch spring-form pan with oiled parchment or a brown paper bag cut to size. Oil the pan and paper well. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20 minutes.

4. Turn oven off and let cake sit for 10 minutes. Remove cake from oven. Turn over and detach from spring pan carefully. Enjoy!

My favorite Valentine’s Day treat is a tie between fresh (dark!) chocolate covered strawberries (for those antioxidants) and a glass of dry champagne with fresh pomegranate seeds (again powerful antioxidants and I just love how the pretty seeds bounce around in the bubbles ;) )

:x Ah yes, every year that V-Day comes around I have flash backs of my very favorite romantic skunk ; Pepe Le Pew.

Of course, my all time heart melting Valentine’s Day treat is eating those tiny chocolates out of the shiny heart shaped box ;)

I would really enjoy cheesecake with dark chocolate and strawberries, but maybe prepped in a wineglass for romantic look and portion control.

I’ve always liked those no-bake cookies made with oats and chocolate. I use low fat cocoa to make it healthier but the oats help too. Happy Valentine’s Day!

My favorite Valentines treat is a good glass of wine and some sushi. Strange I know. A really good dark chocolate covered strawberry is always good too!
