I love this site. You are right on about workouts not getting results. When I first started, I could not seem to lose weight, despite all of the effort I put in. Finally, I stuck to a good diet and workout plan, and the weight started melting.

I was guilty of #8-You sit all day.
I decided split up my workouts; before breakfast, 20 minutes of Core with Jackie Warner, then 10-20 minutes of jumping rope before lunch. I also walk around the block for 30-45 minutes after dinner :)

The sitting all day thing kills me, too. I have been trying to take breaks and just do one lap around the office building, and I think it has helped!

It always amazes me how much work you actually have to do to burn a pound of fat – it’s about 3500 calories worth of exercise and that involves running for hours not a few minutes on the treadmill. Walking at a medium pace a 140lb woman uses just 336 calories so you have to walk an awful lot of miles to lose a pound. Still every walk/run you do helps.
