Avoiding the Nip Out with Breeze Comfort

strappy-sports-braStrappy Sports Bra

Kudos to this sports bra for being one of the sexiest—yet most functional—bras we’ve ever reviewed. Soft, padded and with a little see-through sass, it’s not quite supportive enough for running or high-impact activities if you’re larger than a B cup, but it is perfect for yoga, Pilates and walking. I reviewed the lemon one and seriously fell in love with it. The mesh-lace gets a little itchy if you wear it longer than an hour or so, but the V-cut shape and the cut-out back? Love. At $37.99 it’s not the cheapest sports bra on the block, but it darn well might be the cutest. And those Ventipads are no joke. I hit the frozen section of the grocery store after a workout and nothing. Not one nip, large or small. Victory!

I perpetually have this problem, and I swear by the Champion Shape T-Back (I’ve got it in 4 colors already!). It feels more like a nice lining than padding, but it keeps my ladies looking smooth no matter the temp or sweat factor.

I have this problem terribly too… my boyfriend even got a little irritated at me one time when he had a bunch of male friends over and I came back from my jog! I can’t HELP IT! what’s a girl to do besides the tell-tale arm folding? I try to keep a sweater now for after a run… do you know if they have any that are durable enough for a size D for running?

    1. Jenn says:

Amber I don’t unfortunately. The one I had didn’t have THAT much support (and I’m a B cup), but I could jog short distances in it. Maybe the Champion Shape T-Back Sara mentioned though???

Oh Amber, I feel your pain. I too am a D/DD and need something with Ah-mazing support. I could wear this around the house though.

After having kids, mine seem to be larger than normal and going in all directions. It’s SO annoying to make sure I’m line and centered before I hit the gym. My right is worse then the left in terms of exposure which is even more embarassing. I would rather have both shinning through then just one, because then everyone just focuses on the one. Ggggrrrr! I’ve even been trying to buy patterned tops to go over sports bra to reduce the obvious.

I would love to try one of these. I’ve got, as my husband puts it, pencil eraser nips, LOL and would love to be able to find something that conceals this a bit better after my workouts!

@Amber & Jenn – That Champion sports bra I love does come in bra sizes up to 38D. I’m a B and love this bra for running, but obvs I can’t vouch for the support for Ds. Hope you find something awesome, I feel your pain!

That is so freaking cool. I want it!

Sara and Amber — This post we did on hard-to-fit boobies might help, too! 🙂

I’m frustrated that almost every sports top and bra are not designed for any size larger than a B cup! I’m a 36DD and it is truly hard to find a sports bra what holds everything tight! Forget about shelf bras…totally worthless!

  10. cindy says:

I would love this because I don’t have any cute workout clothes. Being overweight I never have had the confidence to wear something cute. Wearing this would help build my confidence and be inspiring to wear while working out.

  11. Debbie says:

I usually try to layer thin shirts and that helps. We have wicked hot days in LA though, so this venting bra would be great.

  12. Monica says:

I’d love to try this out, as I also really suffer from this problem. And it is not fun jogging around the city with people noticing!

  13. Anna says:

I would love to try one of these.

these bras are cute! & they do look comfortable!

  16. Erin says:

I would love to try one of these. I can never wear any sports bra or sports top without my nipples showing through. I’ve kinda gotten to a point where I just don’t care what people think, because I’m getting a work out in and that’s what matters. However, it would be nice not to have to worry about it at all.

  17. I’d love to try one of these. I have the hardest time finding a good sports bra and these seem like they could be really great.

This is an old topic, but I use silicone shields called Dimmers to help with this issue. They can be worn with any bra and really help! I picked them up through Amazon a few years ago.

I have the perpetual nip problem….I could so use this!
