★FitStars: Biggest Loser’s Olivia Ward & Hannah Curlee

olivia-hannahLast season on The Biggest Loser, we pretty much fell in love with the purple team. Total girl power with big heart, beautiful smiles and a positive attitude that just would not quit, Olivia Ward and Hannah Curlee kind of snuck in and won the whole dang thing. Olivia ended up losing 129 pounds, winning the title of “The Biggest Loser” just over her sister  Hannah Curlee who was a runner-up in the finale and lost 120 pounds.

So when we heard that the purple-team duo was going to kick off the 10th annual Fitness Magazine Mind, Body + Spirit Games on September 17, in New York’s Central Park, and we had a chance to talk to them about it, we jumped on the opportunity. Read on for Olivia and Hannah’s inside scoop on being on The Biggest Loser, what they’re up to now, their top advice on losing weight and more!

Interview with Olivia Ward and Hannah Curlee

  • FBG: How did you get involved with the Fitness Body + Spirit Games?
  • OW & HC: Since we’re the current cover girls of Fitness Magazine, they asked us to come to the event, and when we found out Bob Harper was hosting, we couldn’t say yes fast enough!
  • FBG: What was your favorite part of the event?
  • OW & HC: Meeting all of the fans who came out to the event! We loved chatting with the women about their stories and being able to share ours. We made so many new, wonderful friends!
  • FBG: What’s it like to go from obese to a bona fide celebrity, making appearances and being on magazine covers?
  • OW & HC: Humbling. It’s been a whirlwind. We’re truly grateful for how we’ve been blessed!
  • FBG: What’s the biggest way your life has changed since being on The Biggest Loser?
  • OW & HC: EVERYTHING! Well, actually everything except the support of our friends and family members, but besides that, everything.
  • FBG: What’s a typical week like for you when it comes to working out?
  • OW & HC: A combination of bootcamps, Spin classes at SoulCycle and maybe a run or two! We also have been doing a couple races and triathlons.
  • FBG: What’s your diet like?
  • OW & HC: It hasn’t changed much since the ranch. Our bodies are still by Bob and Jillian!
  • FBG: If you could only train with one trainer for the rest of your life, who would it be? Bob? Jillian? Brett? Cara?
  • OW & HC: Hmmm…I guess ourselves! You can’t rely on someone else to make every decision for you. At some point you have take your life into your own hands. But again, body by Bob and Jillian!
  • FBG: We’ve heard that Olivia has PCOS. Is this true, and what’s the latest on the condition now that you’ve lost weight?
  • OW & HC: Hannah does, too! We’re still awaiting our medical testing results but appreciate your interest in our health. We hope to hear something in the near future since it seems our symptoms have subsided.
  • FBG: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
  • OW & HC: Live your best life, in every sense of your being.
  • FBG: If you could tell those trying to get healthy and lose weight one thing, what would it be?
  • OW & HC: It’s going to be hard, and it’s not a quick process, but if you take a million little steps and make one good decision after another, suddenly you’ll see how far you’ve actually gone.
  • FBG: What’s next for you two?
  • OW & HC: Appearances around the country where we get to continue sharing our ever-evolving story. And we’re currently filming Dr. Drew’s new show on the CW: Dr. Drew’s LifeChangers (www.lctv.com). It was also just announced that we are the new spokespeople for Go Sport ID!
  • FBG: Anything else you’d like to tell our Fit Bottomed Girls’ readers?
  • OW & HC: Keep tweeting us and writing on our Facebook walls. As much as you all want to hear from us, we want to hear from you!

You can also catch up with Olivia and Hannah on their new blog My Fitspiration. Love these two! —Jenn
