Do You Eat Gluten-Free Foods?
October 15, 2011 by Jenn
Earlier this week we tried some gluten-free goodies and were pleasantly surprised that their taste was more cookie than cardboard. While my diet has long been evolving so that I eat more and more clean foods that are not processed, I still get a decent amount of gluten in my diet, and my system seems to be able to handle it okay. What about you? Do you dodge the gluten when you can?

My sister-in-law and nice both have Celiac, and I’ve learned a lot from them. A single crumb can send them into a downward spiral of pain for days, so they have to be very careful.
I don’t have celiac, bit I find that if I avoid large amounts of gluten, I definitely feel better.
I haven’t been diagnosed with celiac but since going gluten free my IBS problems have almost disappeared. My bloating has gotten so much better and I feel great. Its well worth it and not as hard as people think.
I am also diagnosed with celiac disease. I have been blogging gluten free for a couple of years, but it’s mostly in the form of non-healthy foods (hello, major sweet tooth here!) If you need or want any recommendations on healthy gluten free foods, I’d be happy to share my favorites. I’ve been GF for almost 12 years, so I feel I have tasted and tried everything!

No. I don’t have an issue with gluten. People have been eating gluten for AGES and the majority of the population has not had issues. It’s cool now to go gluten free but it’s NOT a weight-loss strategy or any more healthy than eating gluten. Get over it! Gluten is awesome! (Unless you have an actual diagnosed issue, then yikes, sucks to be you. I LOVE me some seitan!)
I am almost 100% gluten free. I was diagnosed with IBS and notice that gluten makes symptoms worse. I think that people try gluten free diets because they feel that it is a weight loss tool. Just like any diet, eating processed food labeled gluten free will NOT help you lose weight. Stick to natural foods, as they have no gluten (fruits, veggies and lean meat).
