Checking Out Reebok CrossFit, HQ and So Much More!
Reebok CrossFit: Yes, There’s Video
Me and the other awesome bloggers at the event (including Carrots ‘n’ Cake who graciously let me “borrow” many of her photos and Healthy Ashley who was my awesome Reebok CrossFit buddy!) were then put through a Workout of the Day (WOD) that consisted of running, kettlebell swings and pull-ups in teams of two. Austin took us through the basics of CrossFit, why it works and then he had us practice getting deep in squats and doing proper form on the moves.
Seeing that I just started being able to do unmodified pull-ups (squeal!), I totally took the opportunity to ask him to critique my form and give me pointers. Yeah, I’m shameless like that—and he helped, saying that I needed to smooth out my motion because I was wasting energy with the slight pause I was making once I got my chin over the bar.
