New Jamba Juice Drink!
There are a couple of things that I write about that I love dearly. Stuff that makes my heart sing. Nike apparel makes the list. Lululemon gear, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and, dear God, Jamba Juice. I absolutely cherish my beloved city for giving me a large amount of go-to health spots.
Jamba is at the top of my healthy nooks and has been for years. I’ve loved this heavenly juice spot since the first month I moved to Los Angeles, and I’ve never stopped craving those delicious beverages. I used to get the same drink EVERY.DANG.TIME. But after a year of the same strawberry mix, I decided to be brave and daring. I started ordering different drinks every time…adding a boost of this here and a boost of that there. The amount of healthy choices is mind boggling!
When I was training for my marathon, I would motivate myself with Jamba Juice. Did I ever tell y’all that? If mile 10 was kicking my butt, I’d just imagine that delicious drink hitting my dry throat, and my speed would improve. I’d stretch and then hit that darn store up, sweaty hot mess and all, and gulp one of those bad boys down.
When Jenn and I were able to attend the Jamba event last year, I floated (just a teeny tiny bit) into heaven as I sipped and tasted various new drinks they had come up with. The beet drink became my new bitch, but now it’s all about the watermelon, ya’ll. The Watermelon Splash Fruit Refreshers with coconut water was magnificent. Refreshing as heck! The first sip made my eyes pop. Instant happiness!
It’s made with coconut water, which explains why it quenches my thirst with a vengeance. Can coconut water be any more perfect? Yes, when it’s used to make this watermelon drink! Oh, the electrolytes! Oh, the vitamin C! They’re gluten-free, vegetarian and contain no high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives. Don’t you just love when Mama Nature is honored in fruit-juice form?
If you are lucky enough to have a Jamba Juice store in your hood, I suggest you try one. Then come back here and let me know what kind of reaction that magical drink produced in you. —Tish
