Fit-Tip Friday: Willpower 101

Willpower 101

Hand gestures, in full effect. What can I say? Talking about willpower gets me fired up.

We’re toying around with the idea of doing a short video every Friday that shares a quick little fit tip with you to help you live a happier and healthier life. To test the waters, today (hooray, it’s Friday!) we’re sharing a little tip from my time working with University of Missouri Health Care.

After I had the honor of introducing the lovely Ali Vincent (she is seriously such a doll!), I sat down to answer a few questions on willpower, habit and how to reach your goals in a way that doesn’t feel like work. They then put my answers into a cute little video. I promise you’ll learn something new (unless you were at Ali’s presentation, in which case, hey, it’ll be a refresher—and, by the way, you were the best audience ever) … and probably will be slightly distracted by my gregarious hand gestures. Hey, I like to talk with my hands.

That willpower is a tricky beast, but learn how to harness it and you can do just about anything you want. For reals. If you’re wanting more info on willpower, check out my free recorded online class that’s 30 minutes of the real-deal on willpower.

Let us know if you’d like us to make this Fit-Tip Friday thing a regular feature — and tell us if you have any burning questions you’d like us to tackle. In the future, we’d like to keep these to about 30 seconds to a minute long, so don’t give us your life history, but do ask away about those health and fitness things you’ve always wondered about! —Jenn
