Hottest Celebrity Fitness Trends in 2012

1. Pilates. Developed by Joseph Pilates, it emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement, and can be done either on a mat or on a reformer (depending on the Pilates class format). You may not be burning 800 calories in a Pilates class, but you will definitely be getting a full-body workout. And if you stick with it, you’ll be sure to see waist-shrinking results.

Celebrity Pilates fans: Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, January Jones, Khloe Kardashian, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Gwyneth Paltrow.
