Last month, I had an opportunity to chit chat with Nancy O’Dell the day before she was to cover the Emmys. The plan was to school a group of bloggers on how to get camera ready. I expected all of the familiar Hollywood tricks, but was actually surprised at how informed and healthy minded Ms. O’Dell truly was about pre-gaming it (as I like to call it).
According to O’Dell, the food provided to those working the red carpet is unhealthy and unfulfilling, so she likes to pack a couple of Yoplait Greek 100 cups that she can whip out when needed. They’re 100 calories, (contain no aspartame) and have 10 grams of protein. I kind of fell in love with her at that point. You have to be pretty gangster about your health and diet if you’re packing good sources of protein to get you through the day. (Novices will pop sugary good stuff and then find a crash in their near future…that’s not the case when you stick to fiber and protein!)

I just love a gal who looks great because of healthy, sane choices (i.e. exercises and sticks to a healthy diet plan). She’s a great example of a healthy Hollywood hot mama! Something I, for one, will never get enough of! She picked the right snack, too, because the yogurt is really good! I was expecting a weird chalky taste, but they’re creamy and decadent. I’m not gonna lie; my eyes rolled back when I took my first bite of the black cherry.
