Gratitude, Goals and Balance: How to Maintain Your Weight Loss for Life

Why not set a goal to run a race with your buds? It’s a great way to stay on track!

10 Ways How to Maintain Your Weight-Loss

10. Find new goals. You always need to be working toward something, or there is nothing to keep you moving in the right direction. When weight-loss is no longer on the table, look for something else physical. Whether it’s to run a mile or a marathon, do a pull-up or do 100, find a new goal that excites you.

You’ve done it. You’ve lost the weight you’ve wanted to lose for so long. Congratulate yourself, breathe a sigh of relief and cut yourself some well-deserved slack—but not for too long. When it comes to weight-loss, doing nothing is moving in the wrong direction and is a recipe for regain. You’ve come too far to slide backwards now, so keep looking forward, and pushing forward. Find that next big goal and achieve it. Because now, you know you really can do whatever you set your mind to.

Have you maintained a significant weight-loss? What’s your secret? Or did you regain a loss and learn a valuable lesson? Share your story! —Kelly

What fantastic tips!! I am a new lifestyle blogger and looking to narrow my niche as I have lost 100 lbs and kept it off for 14 years and feel this might be the direction I’m looking for. I’m pinning this and reading more!!!

  2. This is so great! Thank you! It is SO important to work hard to maintain weight loss – and #5 is SO true – staying within 5-10 pounds of regain is so much easier to manage than suddenly realizing you’ve gained back 25!
