Fit Blogger We Love: Caitlin Boyle of Healthy Tipping Point

fitblogger585There are about a bazillion awesome bloggers out there. And while we’ve highlighted a few here or there, in the New Year we wanted to share more about the ones we really, really dig. Those that inspire us to be healthier. Share their honest experiences. Make a mean protein pancake. Get us laughing. In general, this new series of Fit Bloggers We Love is filled with writers who make us better people! And we couldn’t think of a better person to start with: Caitlin Boyle of the blog Healthy Tipping Point (HTP) and the movement and book series Operation Beautiful. Read on for why Caitlin started her blog, what workouts she loves, her fitness confessions and more!

Fit Blogger We Love: Caitlin Boyle of Healthy Tipping Point

When and why did you start your blog? I had recently moved to Orlando from Pittsburgh and didn’t know anyone. I started a blog as a way to connect to people both locally and around the world.

How did you come up with the name of your blog? My blog was originally See Bride Run, but I knew on my honeymoon that I had to change it. HTP refers to the Malcolm Gladwell book about The Tipping Point, a phenomena in which something rare becomes very common—my healthy living is about finding your Healthy Tipping Point.

What’s the most rewarding thing about blogging? Genuinely connecting with readers. I have met some wonderful people through blogging.

What’s the most misunderstood thing about your blog or healthy blogging in general? Hah! I’m not sure. I guess, in general, people believe that they know who a blogger is in and out because of their blog; while a blog gives you a good idea of someone’s life, it’s certainly not everything. People are much more complex (and interesting) than can be conveyed on a blog.

What’s your favorite post and why? Probably my pregnancy announcement post!

What workouts do you love? Running and swimming.

What workouts do you love to hate? The elliptical or treadmill.

What single piece of workout apparel could you not live without? This sports bra.

What’s the most embarrassing song on your workout playlist right now? I like the Pitbull station on Pandora.  That’s pretty embarrassing.

What are a few of your fitness confessions? I pretend to be in a music video when I run.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with Pitbull. Or pretending to be in a music video when you run…
