Brooks Running Review: Women’s Glycerin Printed Bra Top II

This Brooks Running sports bra is hella cute and hella supportive.

This Brooks Running sports bra is hella cute and hella supportive.

You know how when you run you want to feel supported? And tight? And strong? And ready to go? Well, that’s pretty much how I’d describe how this new Brooks Running sports bra (which I got to try per our blog ambassador relationship) makes me feel when I put it on. Ya’ll, the Women’s Glycerin Printed Bra Top II is fantabulous. And we don’t use that word lightly.

First, let’s get a little superficial about this running bra. (I was actually wearing it on my recent Run Happy date!) It’s cute. So cute! Just look at it! It comes in all kind of fun patterns—and I was particularly smitten with the polka dots. (I heart polka dots! And seriously one of the cutest sports bras we’ve ever reviewed.) The double light-blue straps and contouring was a nice touch, too. And, I won’t lie, the fact that its name makes me think of this song isn’t a bad thing either.

But the Glycerin Printed Bra Top II has more going for it than just looks and a reference to Gavin Rossdale, this thing delivers serious boobie support for A, B and C cups. (Larger-lump ladies, read this post!) It’s very fitted and keeps the girls up and close to you for maximum comfort when running. For me, it was just the right mix of being able to move and still being supported for high-impact activities like running and jumping.

Surprisingly, it’s also pretty comfy. I found that it did ride just a touch high (you can see that a bit better in this photo), but that was seriously my only complaint. The fabric felt great, I didn’t have any chafing, and I really appreciated the seamless cup construction with “enhanced modesty.” No uniboob and no nipping—pretty much my dream when it comes to sports bras. And the fact that they got those features into a highly functional sports bra is no small feat. And for $40, it’s a heck of a good deal. Of all of the Brooks Running pieces I’ve reviewed, this Glycerin Printed Bra Top II has to be one of my favorites. Top three for sure!

Anyone else worn this sports bra and fallen in love, too? —Jenn
