Happy almost Memorial Day weekend! We’re sure you’re going to parities and barbecues and doing all kinds of other fun Memorial-Day stuff, but just in case you’re looking for the perfect summer treat (and, really, who isn’t?!), we wanted to share a little ViSalus dessert recipe we recently came up with. One that we’re pretty sure Ruby would love!
With a patriotic coloring of red, white and blue, this creamy and summery parfait features banana, strawberries and blueberries—all on a yummy pudding-like base of ViSalus Sweet Cream. If you’ve never had it before, it tastes just like cake batter, except it has 12 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and less than a gram of sugar per serving. So, it pretty much takes your usual parfait to the next healthy and filling level. Put all that fruit-and-ViSalus goodness in a martini glass, and you are set with a simple yet sophisticated healthy dessert for Memorial Day—or any day!
2 rounded scoops of ViSalus Sweet Cream
1/4 c unsweetened coconut or almond milk
1/2 banana, sliced
2 large strawberries, sliced
1/8 c blueberries
1. Whisk together the ViSalus and milk until smooth. Place in the bottom of a martini glass.
2. Top with banana slices, then strawberry slices. Sprinkle with blueberries.
3. Chill in fridge for at least 20 minutes. Then serve and enjoy this high-protein treat!
