Workout I Did: He’ll Take You to the Sweaty Shop (50 Cent Ain’t Got Nothing on Him)

sweaty-shop-workout

We want to take ya’ll to the sweaty shop!

25, 20, 15, 10.

If you are — or are thinking about becoming — one of Mark’s BFS boot-campers, then you should really get comfortable with these numbers! Mark (my fiance) LOVES to run these circuits with his crews. I swear I curse him while doing them, but the workouts are great if you’re looking to increase your muscular endurance. (This builds strong muscles that don’t get tired as easily. Think about all the times you’re walking upstairs and your legs start to hurt. Sucks, right?)

These workouts burn a wazoo amount of calories because you’re going nonstop (or as close to nonstop as your body will allow you to) and boost your cardiovascular endurance. (Not a runner? This might be the perfect way to help your heart rate without investing in a new pair of running kicks.)

So if you’re looking to improve your muscular mojo, try this workout and let me know what you think. I love it because it can be done anywhere. No need for a gym … no need for weights. Can you say low-maintenance? Woo to the hoo!

So here’s the plan: You start out doing 25 of the following. Then do 20. Then 15 … you get where I’m going with this?

  • Push-ups
  • Squats
  • Burpees
  • Step-ups (on each leg)
  • Tricep dips
  • Mountain climbers
  • Jumping jacks (clap above your head)

To demonstrate each sweaty move, I’ve created a fun little video!

Once you’ve completed the last round, make sure to stretch really well! Stretch your legs and arms, and get thee some protein! Be good to your muscles!

What’s your favorite move from Mark’s Sweaty Shop Workout? —Tish
