That photo kind of says it all, doesn’t it? You’ve got Tish there as the bride, giddy and as gorgeous as can be, her now-husband Mark grinning from ear to ear, a gorgeous beach setting, friends and family snapping away on their devices, and then, me, excited as can be, fist-pumping in the background. No doubt, it was a Fit Bottomed wedding. And, next to my own wedding, one of the best days of my life.
Tish and my friendship runs deep, and we don’t just write about being FBGs; we LIVE the Fit Bottomed Life. So it’s no surprise to me that on her wedding day, Tish was just normal Tish. Sure, we had a few more things to do and excitement levels were high, but we had breakfast with friends and mimosas. We listened to good tunes and primped. We laughed. We jumped on beds and flexed our muscles for the wedding photographer. We giggled. We teared up with happiness. We stayed present. We didn’t sweat the small stuff. Heck, Mark even held a bootcamp on the beach the morning of the wedding. It was a gorgeous day through and through. And one that I’m honored to have been a part of.
When you hear the words “healthy lifestyle,” you generally think about just fitness and nutrition. But this wedding was the perfect example to me that everything is intertwined. Being truly healthy isn’t just about eating right and moving. Although that is a big part of it, it’s also about relationships, family, being fully present and open, and, well, corny as it sounds, love. It’s all about love. Loving yourself, loving others, loving your life.
