Bethenny Frankel’s Top 3 Healthy Habits

Bethenny Frankel is one busy lady. Between having her own TV show, blog and full lifestyle brand (cocktails!), Bethenny is also a mom and just recently launched a new line of nutrition bars. We got the chance to chat with her about all that — and her new Healthy Habits challenge, which we’ll have a special post about next month!

Interview With Bethenny Frankel

There are tons of snack bars out on the market. How is yours different and why did you decide to create one? I wanted to create a healthy and flavorful snack bar for women on the go to enjoy and trust. The SkinnygirlDaily bar has no artificial ingredients and is packed with fiber and protein without sacrificing flavor. I believe women can have it all; a truly balanced life where they have on-the-go products they can trust and enjoy without the guilt or hassle.

What’s your favorite Skinnygirl Daily Tasty Nutrition Bar flavor? I would say my favorite bar is the dark chocolate multigrain pretzel.

Can you tell us more about your 30 Day Challenge in February? Why did you start it and what does it include? The Skinnygirl Daily Healthy Habits 30 Day Challenge was created to help women make small changes every day which will lead to healthier habits for the rest of their life. The Healthy Habits 30 Day Challenge is an exciting online contest (living on a dedicated Facebook tab and daily emails), where participants will receive daily tips that focus on three main aspects of your life: mind, body and soul. Participants are invited to document and share their path to a healthier and happier self for a chance to win prizes. Prizes will feature a range of health, wellness and beauty products to keep the motivation high, and daily tips will cover the mind, body, and soul.

It’s easy and we can all do it together — whether you choose to take the stairs, get a small latte instead of medium, have a salad with dinner instead of breadsticks — it only takes 30 days to adopt healthier habits to become the girl you always wanted to be. We created a program to help women form those healthy habits to help them be the women they want to be.

Do you set New Year’s resolutions? Did you set any for 2014? I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. Every day I try to come from a place of yes and make as many healthy choices as possible.

What are your top three healthy habits? Stop beating yourself up! Change the way you think and stop having a dysfunctional relationship with food. There’s no such thing as “good” or “bad” food. Nothing should be off-limits. Lift the restrictions and reservations so you can have a healthy relationship with food again.

Always plan ahead and pack a smart snack choice. You know you’re going to be hungry, whether you’re picking the kids up at school, sitting at a desk all day or out running around — you’re going to snack, so think ahead and pack a smart snack like a Skinnygirl Daily Tasty Nutrition Bar.

Celebrate your accomplishments whether they are big or small and stop being so hard on yourself. Make healthier choices that feel right to you and in turn, you will start being the best girl you can, having the confidence and owning your own life. You are always in control and don’t forget to reward yourself for even the smallest of accomplishments.

We looove those healthy habits! Tell us, what healthy habit would you like to pick up? —Jenn
