(Awesome) Infographic: Gender Roles in the Kitchen

Do you guys remember when Kristen asked about feminism in the kitchen? Well, she gathered all the awesome info you guys submitted and put together the most amazing infographic for Fit Bottomed Eats. And, really, after pouring over the numbers and the results (in this oh-so pretty format), I’m pretty impressed …

I mean, for the vast majority of you, gender roles don’t play a role in kitchen duties. And y’all are pretty good about splitting up duties. I wonder what the results of this survey would have been like 10 years ago? Or 20? Or even 30? Methinks things have changed. (Somewhere Lisa Bloom is smiling!)

Also, the fact that most of you actually like cooking and baking is pretty exciting. We talk a lot about finding workouts you enjoy so that they don’t feel like “work” here on FBG, and the same thing applies to cooking. When you can find the joy in it, it doesn’t feel like a chore and you actually like it. Which makes it way, way easier to eat healthier and fresher — because you’re game to whip something up in the kitchen instead of relying on fast food or convenience foods. Rock on!
