So About That Stop-Doing List …

stop-doing-list

A few weeks ago, I started a stop-doing list. Which is pretty much the exact opposite of a to-do list. But, I thought, hey, what’s the point in creating something and then never being accountable to it? Or never giving you an update on how it’s going. Which is what inspired my vlog!

Yep, I’m a work in progress. Aren’t we all? And isn’t that, really, what’s great about life? We’re always fine-tuning it a bit to better for us? I think so. And, seriously, just about every woman I know these days has a to-do list and is pretty much driven by it. What if we all pushed those to-do lists aside a little bit and freed ourselves up from the stuff we’re doing that drags us down by creating a stop-doing list? How would that change us all?

I’m off to NOT check some email. Leave your stop-doing list items or progress in the comments! Would love to see ’em! —Jenn

  1. My stop-doing list involves no email/work-related activities when I get home from work! It’s so refreshing and makes me feel more ready and motivated for work the next day!

My stop-doing list involves a few things…. and funny enough that 3 of them matched yours. My to-do list can take over EVERYTHING and if I don’t do everything I can feel so overwhelmed. So, I’m stopping tying my self-confidence with how much I can possibly accomplish in a day and moving forward from there.

I’ve also stopped being an all or nothing woman. I’m so used to either running myself ragged or sitting on my butt all day and watching television. I’ve needed to find a happy in between and it’ll take a while but I’m going to get there.

Lastly, I’m stopping not giving myself a chance. I’m so quick to lift up others but am so slow to believe in my own abilities. So I’ve stopped in cutting myself short. Thanks for posting this video!
