Too busy to make it to the gym? Travel a lot? Don’t have access to a gym at all? Yep, this post on a few of our favorite gym-free workout resources is for you! After all, you don’t need a gym to get fit — just a little creativity to make the most of what you’ve got. And when you get bored or at a loss for what to do, these gym-free resources rock!

1. Gym-Free Journal: Bodyweight Workouts for Getting Ripped. This book is part journal and part workbook, with a full 90-day program to help you get fit at home with no special equipment. Log your daily exercise and eats in it and follow the workouts to build muscle in your arms and shoulders, increase your strength and endurance, sculpt your legs and booty, and boost your fitness with cardio intervals.

2. Full Deck Fitness. You know how we love the Deck of Cards Workout? Well, this is kind of like that, plus. Full Deck Fitness requires no equipment and gives you a full-body workout with a focus on core strength one card at a time. There are three different ways to use the cards, but our favorite is to simply shuffle the deck and see how many cards we can get through in 30 minutes.

3. YogaSessions.TV. There are a ton of online streaming workout options these days, but a new one we love is YogaSessions.TV. For about $6 a month, you can get your om on at home or wherever your day takes you, straight from your computer. Choose from lots of different yoga styles like hatha and vinyasa, along with even strength and cross-training workouts.

4. Fitness Flower Bathroom Begonia. Erin reviewed this on Fit Bottomed Mamas and, seriously, how cute is it? Sure, it’s not exactly a full-blown workout, but is is an easy way to fit more activity into every part of your day — including when you’re in the bathroom getting ready!

5. Special Forces Fitness Training. Want to not just work out at home but feel like a total bad-ass, too? Check out this book. Author Augusta DeJuan Hathaway shows you how to get in the best shape of your life using the program he developed as a strength and conditioning specialist for the U.S. military special forces. With 30 hard-core workouts, you’ll be challenged, develop strength, increase speed, boost agility and flexibility, and even grow your mental fortitude.

6. The Pop-up Gym: How to Keep Fit Wherever You Are. Create your own gym no matter where you go with this book that’s filled with workouts, tips and a full-out guide to keep you fit, focused and motivated. Dumbbells, a stability ball and a medicine ball are called for in a few of the exercises, but there are still plenty you can do sans equipment altogether.
