SPOILER ALERT!* We’re recapping tonight’s The Biggest Loser episode (get all the recaps here!), so avert your eyes if you don’t want to know what happened.

While Bob Harper has an NFL all-star team at Comeback Canyon with Damien and Scott, Alison has informed the remaining seven contestants at the ranch that their teams are gone — it’s time to unveil the rainbow of singles shirts!

Quote of the Week

From Sonya: “I started off on Team Jen and I graduated. And I moved over to Team Dolvett. Now I’m graduating from Team Dolvett. For the first time in my life, I’m about to hit Team Sonya and see where that’s gonna take me.”

Some people’s shirt colors meant a lot to them. Gold medal softball player Lori got gold and JJ got maroon, the color of his Arizona State football jersey. (I really wanted to see Red Sonya again, but she got purple.) And for the first time in a long time, there’s no pink shirt! Pink has been a very special color for a lot of Biggest Loser winners.

The Challenge

There’s a lot at stake in this muddy obstacle course — the winner gets immunity at the weigh-in. They have to slosh through mud pits and over and under hurdles where they then have to do a color memory puzzle. If they memorize the color pattern and replicate it on the other side of the mud pit, they win. If they don’t, it’s back through the mud pit. Lori was the first to get it right and she won immunity. Everyone else will fight to stay above the yellow line or face elimination.

Bob’s jazzed to have two football stars at Comeback Canyon so he set up an NFL combine for them. The combine is where NFL prospects show off their athletic prowess to prospective teams — and they usually do it as young whippersnappers right out of college.

At the ranch, the trainers gave the contestants a motivational gift — video messages from their former coaches and teammates that really lifted their spirits.

Comeback Canyon Weigh-in

Would Damien continue his winning streak or would Scott prevail? After no loss on the scale last week, Scott lost 9 pounds this week. Damien lost 2 so he’s heading home (and back to ESPN, where he’s already back at work).

Ranch Weigh-in and Elimination

Lori is golden (ha!) because she has immunity but everyone else is at risk. How’d they do?

  • Lori: 3
  • Woody: 9
  • JJ: 6
  • Sonya: 8
  • Jordan: 9
  • Toma: 11
  • Rob: 15

In the elimination room, it was clear the contestants thought that JJ had the strongest support network at home, so he was eliminated. Everyone else is going to Hawaii — sweet!

Damien’s Update

If you watch ESPN, you’ve probably seen Damien for a few weeks on air. He’s now down 107 pounds and has lots of energy to play backyard football with his kids. He’s also working to teach former athletes about how to stay fit once the uniform comes off.

What to Expect Next Week

In the first of two Hawaii episodes, the remaining six contestants head to the island of Kauai. And if they don’t fall below the red line at their beachside weigh-in, they’ll get to stay another week in Hawaii.
