Foodie Gift Guide: Cool Gear

Camelbak Forge ($29-$30): Those who love a hot beverage in the morning really can’t have too many insulated mugs, and Camelbak’s Forge is my new favorite. Here’s why: It travels easily, is seriously spill-proof, allows just the right amount of my drink through with each sip, is easy to manage with one hand, and it keeps my drink hot for hours. Or cold! The fact that it comes in two sizes and several fun colors is just a bonus.
Multi Flask ($39.99): Shopping for someone who’s serious about hydration? This is the gift. It can be used for hot or cold drinks, to infuse tea or fruit, shake up a protein drink on the go, you name it. It’s got two inner shells, an outer shell, a silicone base pad, tea strainer, power drink agitator, fruit infuser, sipper lid (for hot drinks) and spout lid (for cool drinks), so it might be just about the only bottle they need.
Half Pint ($13): This one is a admittedly a bit goofy, but given my stance on watching the portions when drinking, it won’t surprise you to know that I think it’s actually pretty neat. And if you know a couple that enjoys beer together, wouldn’t it be fun to get one for each of them so they can split their craft brews more easily?
Max’Is Creations Mug a Hoop ($34.95): Got someone who loves hot cocoa and basketball? That describes just about everyone I know, and this cute ceramic mug would be ideal for any of them. Shoot the marshmallows through the hoop for some fun, or even use it for soup with oyster crackers. Sounds like a good time to me!
Pop Charts Lab “The Various Varieties of Vegetables” Print ($38): Talk about art that warms a foodie’s heart! This cute veggie print is educational and attractive, and even if veggies aren’t your pal’s thing, there are prints based on beer, whiskey, coffee, cheese and more!
Himalayan Salt Tequila Glasses ($30-$45): Who needs a salt rim for your fancy tequila with these glasses? Since salt is naturally anti-bacterial, these require little maintenance and they really make an impact.
Sur La Table Grilling Plank ($4.95): Who’s your favorite grillmaster? Help them mix up their routine a bit with a cedar grilling plank.
What will you buy your favorite food-lovin’ friend? —Kristen
