CES 2015? Oh, Yes! New Fitness Tech Is on Its Way

If you’re a wee bit tech savvy (and, if you clicked on this article, I’m kinda thinking you are), you’ve probably been catching glimpses of all the hot new technology being unveiled at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2015 in Las Vegas. From drones to phones to vacuums and more, CES is the place to be for all the coolest new electronics. And, of course, that includes fitness products!

While there will surely be loads more making the media rounds and hitting shelves soon, we’ve seen a few that really caught our eye already. Turns out that The Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am is dipping his toe into the fitness wearables market with the i.am PULS+, which will incorporate fashion (with the help of Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley, no less!) with fitness and function. He’s also hoping to inspire underprivileged kids to explore careers in tech, says Engadget. Aww.

The folks at Engadget have such a fun job. They’ve also had a chance to go virtual trail biking on a robotic smart bike and check out a workout trainer using a virtual reality device at the Runtastic booth — there are no real plans for this product to actually be developed just yet, but imagine the possibilities!

Earbuds, yoga mats, watches, tracking belts and more at CES are also getting rave reviews over at Wareable, and, of course, you know we here at FBG will keep our eyes open for the latest and greatest (and most useful) gadgets hitting the market in 2015.

If you could invent one revolutionary fitness product with the snap of your fingers, what would it be? I’m still feeling amazed that wearables are, you know, real life and almost the norm these days! Now get off my lawn. Kristen
