March Fit Bottomed Challenge Week 3: Unplug for the Health of It

Feeling more mindful? We hope so! It’s Week 3 of the Mindful March Fit Bottomed Challenge, and this week we’re challenging you to keep those streaks going, get outside for some activity, listen to your breath and unplug. (Is this your first time hearing about the Fit Bottomed Challenge? No worries! You can still start this week! Full deets are here.)

And here’s what you can get connected on this week …

What to Expect This Week of the Fit Bottomed Challenge: March 16-22, 2015

Monday, March 16: You did it in Week 1, Week 2 and we’re keeping it going for Week 3 — keep your streak going or pick a new one: yoga, meditation, journaling or eating mindfully (get more mindful eating ideas over on Fit Bottomed Eats here!).

Tuesday, March 17: Is there anything better than reading other people’s success stories to make you realize that you too can reach your goals? We think not! So today be sure to read at least one or two success stories here. Let them inspire you!

Wednesday, March 18: It was so much fun in Week 1 that we’re doing it again! Do your favorite workout and use your mantra during it to power you up and through it.

Thursday, March 19: Taking just a minute — or even just a few seconds to breathe — can make you feel so much better. We challenge you to stress less today by simply setting a timer to take 10 deep breaths at the top of every hour. Easy, yet it feels so darn good.

Friday, March 20: Hit the great outdoors for a 20- to 40-minute run/walk without tunes. As you’re out and about snap a pic of what you see and share with us on Instagram (@FitBottomedGirl) with #FBC. We’ll regram our favorites and you’ll have a chance to win fit goodies!

Saturday, March 21: Give yourself an instant mood boost with this Better Mood Workout. (And if you don’t have all the equipment needed, no worries. Modify by doing jumps without a jump rope and high knees for the step-ups — and skip the second circuit, instead doing circuits 1 and 2 for five rounds instead of three.)

Sunday, March 22: Today’s challenge is simple but so powerful: unplug. Disconnect from all your devices for a full four hours today. You. Can. Do. It. And we bet you’ll feel awesome after. Here’s why!

Which day are you most psyched for? I’ve got my eyeballs happily set on Sunday. Phones off, computer shut down! Jenn
