January Fit Bottomed Challenge Week 3: What If You Told Yourself You Can?

can-can'tThe things we tell ourselves are so important. We’re always big on making sure to talk to ourselves like our own best friend, but today, what if you took all of the “I can’ts” out of your vocabulary and replaced them with “I cans”? How would your life — and your reality — change?

Because, you know what? You CAN do it. And you WILL do it. Each time you make a healthy decision or have a positive thought or do the January New Year New Rear Fit Bottomed Challenge* activity that’s listed below, you are propelling yourself forward to an even better version of yourself. You’re telling yourself that you’re worth it. And, honey, you are. So work it!

What to Expect This Week of the Fit Bottomed Challenge: January 11-17

Monday, January 11: Who doesn’t want more energy? Make one of these energy balls recipes and feel awesome. (Plus, ball-joke fodder!)

Tuesday, January 12: There are SO many ways to be active. Today write down 15 of them that you love to do. From playing tag with your kids to spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen to actual “workouts,” list them all out and share a few of them with us on social (@FitBottomedGirl with #FBGChallenge for a chance to win free fit goodies customized for you — U.S. readers only)!

Wednesday, January 13: Last week you did this circuit — 10 push-ups, 10 lunges, 10 tricep dips, 10 squats, 10 sit-ups, 10 burpees — as many times as you could in 10 minutes. Today you’re going to do the circuit again, but see how many rounds you can get through in 15 minutes!

Thursday, January 14: Now that you have your inspiring images for your dream board, it’s time to arrange them. As you do so, think about how each one relates to your fit (awesome) future!

Friday, January 15: Ready to work those upper-body muscles and your heart? Do this upper-body workout, followed by 15 minutes of your fave cardio.

Saturday, January 16: Do these three moves and then smile. BIG.

Sunday, January 17: One of our favorite ways to stay motivated is by doing more workouts. And while buying new workout DVDs is fun, it can be even more fun (and free!) to grab some buds and do a workout DVD swap party. Bonus points if you get together, swap DVDs and then actually do one. (Maybe even over margaritas. Hey, it’s what Kathy Smith does … )

We’re about half way into January already. How are you doing? And — even more importantly — how are you feeling? Now that I’ve finally beat this darn cold, I am feeling PUMPED! Jenn
