DAY THREE: GET GOOD REST

Love Yo’Self: Getting a good night’s sleep is definitely a way of loving yourself. Today, challenge yourself to go to bed by 10 p.m. (at the latest), whether or not you have everything done on your list. It may mean you leave laundry undone, emails unread and dishes in the sink, but it’s worth feeling energized and well rested the next day. Studies show that getting to bed by 10 p.m. allows you more quality REM cycles and makes you feel more refreshed in the morning.

Love Yo’ Partner: Invite your partner to hit the hay early with you. They might not be tired yet but they’re sure to be enticed by the extra snuggle time and whatever else might follow …

  1. My usual bedtime is 9:00pm, however by the time I get the kids, then the dog, then myself settled it usually ends up being 945pm-10:00pm. But, when my fiancé and I go to the gym in the morning, we really try hard to be in bed by 9:00pm because we get up at 4:45am to work out until 5:45am. Both of us have to be at work by 7:00am and its a 30-45min drive to get in town. 🙂
