Grab a Friend and Get Healthy Together

This week we’re talking all about our fave four-legged friends and how to keep them healthy, and there’s no doubt that pets are AWESOME workout buddies. But so are, you know, people. In fact, did you know that the company you keep has a big role on your health? And that — if you are looking to change your habits and drop some pounds — social support is essential?

That’s why support is a huge part of our 10 in 4 Challenge (in case this is your first time hearing about it, the 10 in 4 Challenge is our online weight-loss with self love program), and for the next round of the challenge that will begin on May 1 (registration will be open April 24-28 so be sure to get on the waitlist now!) we’re putting a new twist on it. A BFF twist.

Because there’s serious healthy power in numbers, we’re encouraging you to grab a friend and sign up together. The 10 in 4 BFF Edition is going to have some serious best-fit-friend-power in it — and it’s going to be an amazingly good time. Don’t have a friend to sign up with? No worries! You’ll have the opportunity to be partnered up with a new bud. Like to go solo? That’s cool — we support that, too, so there’s no rule saying you have to have a partner. You do you … and we’ll support you in whatever way feels best to you!

You’ll be able to officially register for the challenge next week, so sign up below to get on the waitlist to ensure you get first dibs when it opens!

Kristen and I can’t wait to see you and your BFFs in the 10 in 4 Challenge soon! —Jenn

I love training with someone, whether it be running or weigh training. For running, the miles flyby when you chat and for the weight training, it’s a safer way to train. They all help with motivation too if you’re after that all important PB.

  2. I completely agree with you, Jen!Everything is easier when you have company!

It’s true that getting a partner while training goes a long way in helping you achieve your goal, but in my opinion accountability to your partner is more important. Having someone watching your progress at each stage will help you achieve the weight loss goal faster.

Having a team is definitely the best way I know to stick with a plan. Whether you’re cross-training or trail running or just sticking to a diet, friends who will stick with you through it all are the best motivator ever!

  7. Having a close friend who is always with me is a wonderful thing, isn’t it. That is the most precious thing that no one is lucky to have. Especially friends help us live better, happier. I’m still looking for that friend for me.
