Active Scarves? Seems Silly, But We Don’t Know How We Lived Before Them
When we first heard about “active scarves,” I’ll admit that I kind of thought it was a joke. Like, really, do you need a special scarf for yoga or Pilates or meditation? Really? Really?
Really.
‘Cause I’m in love with the Borelli Designs’ Active collection of scarves. They are genius. Pure, soft want-to-curl-up-in-a-zen-like-state genius. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is one of those items that you didn’t know you needed until you had it. And I take mine everywhere. Everywhere!
Made of sweat- and water-wicking fabric (four times faster than cotton), the scarves adjust to your body temperature and are microbial, so they don’t stink. And did I mention that they’re soft and cuddly? I wear mine out to dinner as a shawl, use it as a blanket on planes, I put it over my eyes in corpse pose at the end of yoga class, wear it over my legs during meditation, and—of course—wear it around my neck just because it’s cute. And soft. I mentioned that, right?
In fun colors, these are just fabulous to throw in your gym bag or non-gym bag and always have on hand. I especially adore them when traveling (they make for a fab swimsuit cover-up skirt-thing, too!). I tend to run cold, and it’s a great way to warm up without bringing a jacket or coat. And for just $30 to $32 each, you’ll want one in every color. I rock the Lilac, and I just got the Gold Medal Yellow for Erin for her birthday. I knew she’d love it as much as I do, and she looks great in yellow.
Have you ever worn an active scarf? Think it seems silly? Or have you totally bought in, like me? I’m an active-scarf addict! —Jenn
