Fit Apparel That Gives Back

fit-apparel

We’ve talked about the motivation circle that happens when you get fit, inspire others to do the same, and then in return they inspire you to keep going, too. Because, really, fitness is big feel-good community thing. Along with pumping you full of feel-good endorphins, being active also gives you a healthy social group to feel awesome and “normal” in. And, as you guys know, we’re all about feeling good. But what if you could give back to others around the country and world simply by buying certain fitness gear? Would you do it? We would — and we do! Here are three companies we love that are giving back in darn amazing ways.

3 Fit Apparel Companies That Are Making a Difference

1. Janji. We wrote about Janji last year and are still in love with their mission and concept. And it’s simple: buy some of Janji’s awesome performance running apparel and a portion of proceeds funds organizations that are alleviating the worst problems related to water. For example, buy these shorts ($42) and a person in Rwanda has clean water for a year. A year. We also love the company’s prints and styles that are inspired by the counties they help. It’s good stuff.

2. KiraGrace. If you’re a yoga fan, give back with a new tank! One-hundred percent of the profits from the sales of KiraGrace’s Warrior Yoga T-Back Tank ($78) supports Off the Mat, Into the World, a non-profit organization that uses yoga’s values of awareness, sustainability and service to empower activism from a grassroots level.

3. Athleta. Help the younger generation have better body image through getting active and self-empowerment curriculum by supporting Athleta. Athleta is the exclusive national athletic women’s apparel sponsor of Girls on the Run — and you know how we feel about Girls on the Run!

Now this is just a handful of the many fit apparel companies that give back on the regular. Tell us, which one is your fave? —Jenn
