A little more than a year ago, we interviewed Jackie Warner, the star of the Bravo TV’s reality show Workout, in FBG’s first-ever podcast. At that time Jackie gave us the rundown on what went on behind the scenes of the show and what it was like making her first workout DVD (which we loved, btw).

Since we last spoke with Jackie, she’s been up to much, much more, including a brand spankin’ new TV series, a book, a new personal training studio and a new workout DVD. She also gives the skinny on her clothing line, her own personal workout routine and how you, too, can stay uber fit. She even spills about not missing the TV show Workout! (Although we will. Sad face.)

Oh, and here’s another fun fact that happened before I hit the record button: Jillian Michaels interrupted our call. Jackie asked if I minded being called back so that she could talk to Jillian really quickly…Um, yea, I geeked out a bit.

Here at FBG, we like to keep up with all of the latest and greatest workout DVD releases. And as Jenn and I used to be hopelessly addicted to celebrity gossip (we’ve since recovered), we love when celebs release workout DVDs. It lets us marry our former love of the famous with our current love of fitness. The best of both worlds!

The lovely Miss Kim Kardashian is the latest big celeb name to release a workout DVD. What I know of Kim has been gleaned through her family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which sucks me in every time it happens to be on E! She’s also appeared on Dancing with the Stars, which I’m sure is about as grueling as a week in boot camp (and not the boot camp you find at the gym).

I recently got to chat with Ms. Kardashian about her three new Fit in Your Jeans by Friday workout DVDs , as well as her newfound love for fitness. She fills me in on what to expect from her workouts (check back tomorrow for reviews!) and gives me behind-the-scenes details of the wardrobe and what it takes to film an on-camera workout. She was as sweet as could be and thoroughly apologetic when we got interrupted several times by the camera crew. Hey, it happens when your life’s on television! —Erin

When I think of Jackie Warner, I think two words: bad ass. With her own reality TV show, a take-no-ish attitude and killer abs (see right), she is a force to be reckoned with. That’s why, when I had the opportunity to interview her on the phone from her personal training studio Sky Sport Spa in LA, I was a tad, okay, really, nervous. But, thankfully, after a few questions, Jackie made it seem like she was just another gal, albeit a gal with a ridiculous amount of fitness knowledge, a strong passion for helping people get healthy and ah-mazing abs (again, see right). No wonder so many fit girls and boys have crushes on her. (As you’ll hear in the interview below, I fall victim, too, as I pretty much kiss her arse.)

A word of caution before you listen…this is the FBGs’ first attempt at doing a podcast, and, obviously, we have a lot to learn. I have enough “ums” to drive any sane person crazy, and I really should learn to slow down and breathe when speaking. Thankfully, for you, Jackie does most of the talking.
