Happy Labor Day Weekend!

So it’s only Friday at 11 am on the East Coast and technically the weekend hasn’t started yet, but screw that. The FBGs are in dire need of a long weekend, so the long weekend starts now. Be sure to tell your boss. (And I’m sure Labor Day is a much better excuse to leave early than today’s “official” holiday, More Herbs, Less Salt Day.)

To celebrate this awesomeness, we’d like to share two totally tubular things (gosh, alliteration is great).

1. Zen Fit Chick interviewed us. Bless her heart, she wanted to know more about little ole Erin and me. Whether or not you guys are interested in our fitness backgrounds, wellness philosophies and personal ramblings, you should rush over there right now and check out her site, http://www.zenfitchick.com/. She’s got some great tips about goal setting and ways to increase your energy level and much, much more!

2. It’s back-to-school time. Even though most kiddos start school in early to mid-August, Labor Day is still synonymous with the first day of school for me and that means two things: new beginnings and school supplies! Every year during this time, I pull out a pad of paper and write down some goals and a plan to get there. I’m a student at heart I guess, and New Year’s Day never feels like the start to the year, September 1 does. So, I encourage all of you to take a few moments out of your fun-filled weekend to think about your past successes, revisit last year’s low points and see what you’ve learned, and plan for the 2008-2009 school year. Oh, and buy some fun new pens and highlighters to make your lists. Just the idea of new school supplies makes me giddy as a, well, school girl.
