Do You Consider Shopping to Be Cardio?

Yesterday may have been Black Friday, the shoppiest of all shopping days, but we all know that from now until the holidays, the malls are going to be nutso with people looking for the perfect gift and even the adequate-enough gift (usually what I succumb to after procrastinating gift buying until the last weekend—darn me!). Now many health experts say that walking around a store at a decent pace does count as activity, but we want to know your opinion.

  • Hells yes. I pump my arms, throw elbows to get to the best deal and even do Kegels while standing in line.
  • Sort of. It’s better than nothing, and any workout is hard to squeeze in during this time of year, so I’m counting it.
  • No way. Any energy I burn at the mall is quickly counteracted by the sweet allure and wafting aroma of the goodies at Cinnabon.

If you don’t see your perfect option above or would like to elaborate, post your comment below. Happy shopping everyone! —Jenn
