One of the best parts of getting fit and working out regularly is the camaraderie of like-minded others. I don’t know if it’s the happy chemicals that pump out when you pump up or what, but so many regular runners, walkers and exercisers are just darn good people. They sign up for endurance events to raise money, support causes or bring awareness to different issues. And then they voluntarily—and quite happily—get up early on a Saturday morning to push themselves. If you’ve never been to a race to witness this, go check one out in your community. It’s amazing. While all fundraising events are inspiring, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training (TNT) program that benefits cancer research has a particularly large following. In fact, TNT recently hit the $1 billion mark in fundraising. A BILLION DOLLARS. Wow. Congrats to TNT and a big kudos to the 420,000 who helped them raise the funds! Amazing!
