Bringing Sexy Back

Considering that I feel about as sexy as a wildebeest right now , I’m looking forward to the day when I bring my sexy back. And I’m sure my husband is, too, although he’s grinning and bearing my big-girl underwear and Tums-breath like a champ. But I feel like I may have a looong way to go before that sexy-back day comes.

Even once my body is a bit smaller, more mobile and smelling less like Tums, I’m going to have a whole host of other issues to contend with: postpartum healing, bleeding, exhaustion, a crying baby, leaky breasts. You know, lots of other stuff guaranteed to make me feel not sexy at all. It’s like I’ll be trading swollen, aching feet for swollen, aching upper-body parts.

But I’m not alone in my sexy slump, and neither are you. Hopefully, like pregnancy, the postpartum sexual dry spell will be just a phase…

The sex slump…and solutions!
