Biker Babes
As I’ve discovered, staying active when you’re a parent is quite a bit more challenging than those pre-baby days. There are diapers to change, bellies to fill, so much laundry to do…and by the end of the day you’re (I’m) too exhausted to think about a workout.
Incorporating the little one into my daily activity has been my solution so far. I pack my girl into a carrier on my chest and we walk to run errands. Added benefit? I get an extra 12 pounds of resistance! Or we’ll stroll around the neighborhood when it’s nice outside. When she’s a bit older, it would be fun to bike with her, but I hate the idea of those buggies you drag behind the bike because I just know I would hit a curb with it. But theWeeRide Kangaroo Child Carrier is a really cool solution so that toddlers can hit the open road, too!
The WeeRide Kangaroo is a center-mounted seat that sits in front of the rider, which makes it easier for parents to keep their eyes on the child. Plus, the company says the placement helps the rider balance because of its central position, and it’s safer because mom’s or dad’s arms are around the child providing extra support. And the best feature? A comfy cushion in front should your kiddo fall asleep at the wheel!
