Do You Multitask While Breastfeeding?

Yesterday, I threw out my two cents regarding watching television while breastfeeding. While some experts say that it is a no-no, like everything else in FBG-land, we subscribe to the motto “All good things in moderation.” Mothers should be encouraged and supported in their breastfeeding endeavors, not made to feel guilty if they need a little escape during those long hours spent feeding their babies. At night, I love breastfeeding and concentrating soley on my baby girl. But I have to admit that during the day, I breastfeed my baby while cathcing up on my DVR list 😉 I don’t think it makes me a bad Mommy 😉

I read, check emails on my cell, and make phone calls. Don’t get me wrong. It sounds like I’m not bonding with my baby, but I am. I do take some time to hold, watch, and marvel at this amazing little person. But, to sit for 30 to 45 minutes 5 to 6 times per day can be tough. Come on, I love her, but it would probably freak her out if I stared at her the whole time.
