Biggest Loser Week 14 Recap: Heartbreaking!

*SPOILER ALERT* This post reveals details from last night’s The Biggest Loser episode. So if you don’t want to know the dramatic details and results, click away, my friend, click away!

I know I cry a lot during The Biggest Loser, but between episode nine with Arthur going home and last night’s episode? I should consider buying stock in Kleenex. I’ve cried more during this season of BL than any other. Not a dry eye in my house, on Twitter or at the ranch. Just. Plain. Heartbreaking. Courtney, you are loved—and so inspiring.

While last night’s episode was refreshing in that there was no game play or other head-banging stupidity and the pop challenge to guess a mile was pretty interesting (I totally want to see how close I could get!), the whole episode was just emotional. I loved seeing Hannah and the boys get all gussied up for a night on the town (complete with a healthy meal Jillian would be proud of), and I enjoyed hearing so many of the contestants talk about self confidence and how that’s been the missing piece to their weight-loss all along. Preaching to the choir!

I totally agree! I am a big crybaby anyway, but this season is killing me! I love how there doesn’t seem to be as much gameplay and the contestants seem much more concerned about each other’s success than usual. I hated when Arthur went home, but could see the reasoning behind the vote, but this one with Courtney was just brutal. I could see how hard she was working and what a disappointment for her to lost just one pound. In a way though, I think it was helpful for all us “normal” people to see that sometimes even though you do everything right, you’re body just doesn’t let go of the weight. I am in my own struggle to overcome my weight once and for all, and helps me to see that everyone encounters those weeks where your body does opposite of what you feel it should.
