Workout Tanks, “Jeans” and Skirts—Oh, My!
The saying may go that a girl can never have too many shoes, but we think it should be that a girl can never have too many workout clothes. ‘Cause seriously, this stuff is C-U-T-E and totally functional!
Ion Actif Gathered Back Tank
Super forgiving and flattering in the stomach area, I’m in love with this tank from Ion Actif (who is totally giving 10 percent off, by the way). Not only does it have a fun paisley/polka dot (!) pattern of bright colors, it wicks sweat away from the body, making it ideal for any sweat-inducing activity be it running, walking, lifting weights or hitting Zumba. And the gathered back that it’s named after? Genius! It’s cute as a button and totally comfortable!
Ion Actif Jean Pant
Yes, you read that right. This is a jean-workout-pant. As comfortable as I imagine the Pajama Jeans to be but a little classier and, you know, for movement. I tried a pair of these on and, after thinking they’d be terrible, actually sort of dug them. With real pockets on the backside, they will hold a gym card while you elliptical or a pair of keys while you’re out walking the dog. And, for days when you can’t muster the desire to put on “real clothes,” these kinda/sorta let you do both. It’s multitasking at a whole new apparel level. And a whole new price tag. These are $70 a pair, so definitely a splurge.
Go Girl Sport Tuxedo Skort
This isn’t the first fitness skirt we’ve tried but it’s definitely one of our favorites—and one of the sassier fitness apparel items we’ve ever reviewed. The Tuxedo Skort by Go Girl Sport is great for running, hiking or kickin’ it at the gym with a low-rise waistline and a flattering wide band. The skirt itself is pretty darn short, and with somewhat see-through mesh panels in the front and back, when you look closely this skort is pretty darn flirty. Of course, under the skirt are 3-inch inseam boy shorts, but because the shorts are in a pretty thin material in the color white, they kind of feel more like undies than shorts! Despite this, the skirt is super high-quality, which is good…because it’ll cost you $64. All in all though, a super cute piece of apparel and I ran chafe-free in them, which is always a victory!
Cute, right? Told ya! —Jenn
