Now that you’ve added not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new things to your workout repertoire, it’s time to switch things up again with a new challenge! Because the weather is getting warmer, we thought it only appropriate to bring April’s challenge outdoors! So this month, we’re asking you to exercise outside or at least get out for a walk at least two times a week! Not only is moving your workouts outside more fun (so much more to look at than your treadmill screen or the same sweaty, grunting dudes), it’s a great way to reconnect with nature. In fact, studies have shown that while all exercise boosts mood, outdoor workouts give you even more of a mental boost. Not to mention that outdoor workouts are a great way to get your vitamin D.

So…what are you waiting for? Start by commenting with one workout you’ll do outside (could be going for a run, doing some yoga poses or even playing tag with your kiddos!) this month on this discussion board thread! Not a member of our free SparkPeople team yet? Get to joining and connecting with other Fit Bottomed Girls readers now. Spring has sprung, so let’s get outside and move that body, hottie! —Jenn

  1. I’ll be taking the little one for a walk in the park! I can’t wait! It’s my favorite “nice weather” activity!

  2. Leslie says:

I had to stop working out outside, due to malignant melanomas and nasty dogs in my area. I’m learning to love the gym more. :o)
