How Will You Be Active This Memorial Day?

We are getting a head start on the Memorial Day weekend here at FBG HQ by taking a little time for some R&R (gotta practice what we preach, after all!). While I have a full weekend of lounging, reading, organizing (seriously calms me—I’m weird), taking a class here and getting a few projects done around the house, we want to know what all the Fit Bottomed readers of the world are doing over the long weekend. Tell us!

Okay, I voted napping because I love a good nap and I’m not doing any of the rest of the stuff!

In reality I have plans to walk with friends Monday morning. I’ve got an apparatus Pilates session planned for Saturday, and I’m hoping to get in an 8 mile run Sunday morning.

I have OCD so organizing calms me too. I don’t celebrate any holidays so this weekend is just any other weekend for me. Since there will be so many people out and about and lots of traffic to go along with it, I will be staying at home all weekend to catch up on cleaning, reading, movie watching, making dinner for my boyfriend and I, and of course organizing my closet. It is nice to have weekends where there consists of pajama lazy days only.

I did hit the pool on Friday but Memorial Day is now the Bolder Boulder 10K for me. Over 50,000 people do this race. I have done it every year since moving to Colorado even last year when I was 37 weeks pregnant (I walked last year of course).
