Going Under Armour

Can you believe that we’ve never reviewed Under Armour apparel or shoes before? Well that’s about to change!

Women’s Under Armour Micro G Split Running Shoe

Over the years, I’ve become an unofficial aficionado of running shoes. I’m not really an expert, but I do know what feels good and makes me want to run more—and faster. And scientific or not, this pair of running shoes makes me want to do just that. The Under Armour Micro G Split Running Shoes cost a reasonable $89.99 and are seriously cool. As in, they’re super airy, light and let your feet breathe. Featuring special HeatGear fabric (that almost sounds like a boy-band name…), I’ll vouch that they do keep your feet cool and dry. Additionally, these Under Armour running shoes are low to the ground, responsive and bouncy—it’s kind of how I imagine Inspector Gadget would feel if he commanded “go-go gadget running shoes.” Oh, and they also come in sweet color combos. It’s love at first run!

Under Armour Charged Cotton Storm Hoody

Nothing says fall like a good hoodie. And the Under Armour Cotton Storm Hoody is now one of my faves. If the $59.99 price tag seems a bit hefty, you’d be right. That’s a lot of money for a sweatshirt. However, this isn’t another college hoodie you picked up at the college bookstore the last time you were visiting your alma mater. This hoodie is far more performance-y than it looks—or feels. Although it’s made of super-soft cotton on the outside and warm, smooth fleece on the inside that makes you want to get all snuggly, it’s actually totally water-resistant. (It really is — I wore mine to a baseball game in the rain and stayed dry!) Add to that the fact that it also has oversized cuffs with lots of stretch (super comfy), fun colors and a kangaroo pocket with a hidden button hole for easy ear buds access? Hoodie heaven!

I’ve never worn those shoes but I’ve had an Under Armour sports bra since 2003 (when no one had ever heard of Under Armour). Then they started sponsoring Auburn’s sports teams and everyone was wearing Under Armour. Their products are really high quality. Neither my husband or I have ever been displeased with anything we have of theirs! Now I just need to buy some Under Armour shoes…

I just recently bought a pair of Under Armour compression shorts and I love them! They are so comfortable and stayed perfectly in place for 20 miles. This was my first Under Armour purchase and I was definitely pleased.
