Oh, it’s getting nasty on The Biggest Loser 12! In last night’s episode 10, game play was the name of the game. While the show was set up as a feel-good Thanksgiving episode (which much of it was—the trainers cooking turkey dinner for everyone and the Thanksgiving-themed temptation were heart-warming), it ended as a pretty dramatic and competitive weigh-in and elimination.

After John wins the hellacious challenge of climbing a MILE on the Jacob’s Ladder (I seriously can’t imagine), he wins a one-pound advantage for himself and a one-pound disadvantage to give to someone else. And who does John give it to? Sunny. Even though Vinny says he’d take it (he already had a three-pound advantage from winning the temptation), John effectively puts game play first and chooses Sunny. After only losing five pounds himself, his decision is the only thing that keeps him above the yellow line. With Ramon and Sunny up for elimination, the group chooses Ramon to go home (although John voted for Sunny—dang, he must dislike her). While the elimination totally sucked, the high point was Antone straight-up telling it like it was right to John’s face. I’ve never seen game play so plainly yet honestly called out. So, Antone, I heart you for that.

The only upside to John sticking around for another week? We get to see more Dolvett! The show seems to be downplaying Anna’s role big time since she’s not coming back next year, while showing lots of Dolvett and Bob. So methinks Dolvett will be back next season, but that’s just a hunch. Oh, and the final awesome part of The Biggest Loser episode 10? Bob opening up about the struggles he’s faced with an unhealthy and overweight sister who he just can’t get to change. It totally spoke to me. I didn’t think I could love him more, but I could.
