Emotions Run High: Biggest Loser 12 Episode and Week 7 Recap

It was an emotional night for the Biggest Loser contestants. In week seven of season 12, the biggest shake-up of all was handed down by Alison—new teams. It was a move we expected to happen last week, considering how lopsided the three teams were after weeks of eliminations. A pop challenge decided their fates and left the new division looking like this:
– Dolvett’s Red Team – Jessica, John and Bonnie
– Bob’s Black Team – Vinny, Antone and Becky
– Anna’s Blue Team – Ramon, Sunny and Joe
New ranch lovebirds Ramon and Jessica were separated, and it was obvious the training partners missed one another. Sunny and Joe vocalize how they don’t know how to do this without Bob, a separation that even leaves John in tears. The only person who doesn’t seem to have a problem with the change is Bonnie. In fact, she seems to be thriving under the new arrangement and seems to love Dolvett.
The challenge for this week revisits one circa season six. It seemed like a terrible idea then and doesn’t look any more inviting this time around. Three words: Slip and slide. No grown person, no matter their weight, wants to be seen flopping around on one of those things. However, when immunity, $6,000 and a 3-pound advantage are at stake, I guess tell us where to put on our suits. Those were the prizes up for grabs for the teams. The contestants had to slide down and grab a lettered block waiting for them at the bottom. Then they had to take those and run back up the hill to spell out one of the three prizes. The result was the first challenge win for Anna’s blue team, which left Joe with immunity.
With nine people left, and one with immunity, the tensions are getting higher with each weigh in. First it’s the red team with huge numbers. Then, black team steps up with even bigger numbers. Then, the underdog blue team steps up and beats them all! Bob’s black team is sent to deliberation. John has immunity for losing the most weight on the team this week, breaking things down to Bonnie vs. Jessica. The votes land on Jessica and she departs from the ranch.
She is killing it at home—and who wouldn’t when you get to work out with the Pittsburgh Steelers! Remember that this season, no one is out of this game until the first person crosses the finish line at that marathon. She’s been in the top 5 for percentage of weight lost all season and shouldn’t be discounted as a contender for being a finalist.
