Rise and Shine With These Gluten-Free Nutrition Bars

Rise Protein+ Bar

rise energy barThe last type we tried was the Rise Protein+ Bar (which was also previously called the Boomi Bar). Now these are simple and delicious. Each has five ingredients or less and is packed with 17 grams or more of protein. The Rise Protein+ Bar comes in just two flavors for your chewing pleasure: Almond Honey and Crunchy Carob Chip. While the Almond Honey was more like taffy than your usual protein bar, Crunchy Carob Chip was chewy, crunchy and carob-y. Neither had that chalky taste you usually get with protein bars, which was a huge plus for me.

Overall Thoughts on Rise Bars

Now, all of these bars go for just more than $1 to $2 when you buy them in 12-bar packs, but their nutritionals vary pretty widely based on flavor and type of bar. While all of them are pretty healthy and include protein and fiber, some have close to 300 calories (the protein ones), while others have just more than 100, so check those labels, ladies!

Have you tried any of the Rise Bars? Have a favorite flavor? Are you happy to see more gluten-free bars on the market? Addicted to coconut like I am? Sound off! —Jenn
