How to Impress a Birth Mom Modern Family-style

Modern Family is one of my very favorite shows on television. Any show that can turn “Al Bundy” into someone that doesn’t remind me of Al Bundy is pretty impressive in my book. Not to mention that I just love the dynamics between all of the characters, and the humor just kills me. I particularly like this clip where Cameron and Mitchell are trying to impress a birth mom so that they might be considered as adoptive parents.

I’m pretty positive that meeting a birth mom is a whole lot more stressful than this comedic scene would make it appear—and that birth moms are rarely wooed by musical performances. But I do know that when it comes to adoption, there is a lot of jumping through hoops and holding of breath. I think it’s nice that the show has brought that issue to light. Like I needed more reasons to love the show…
